The terms that trip up most businesses
Insurance sections are short, but each phrase can require a different limit, endorsement, or policy. These are the requirements the checker looks for.
Limits for each coverage
Cyber and Technology E&O limits, each claim and aggregate, and whether a combined policy with one shared limit is allowed.
Endorsements
Additional insured, waiver of subrogation, and primary and non-contributory wording, which usually require specific endorsements. What insurers usually allow
Notice and certificates
Notice of cancellation to the client, often 30 days, and the certificate of insurance you’ll need to provide.
Retentions and ratings
Maximum deductibles or retentions, and minimum insurer financial ratings such as A.M. Best A- VII.
Coverage after the contract ends
Requirements to keep claims-made coverage in force for years after the work ends, and retroactive date rules.
Named coverages
Ransomware, breach notification, regulatory fines, social engineering, media, and claims over client data.

What does the cyber insurance contract checker do?
It reads the insurance section of a contract, finds the cyber liability and Technology E&O requirements, such as limits, endorsements, notice, retentions, and named coverages, and compares them with the coverage you have now. Each requirement is marked Meets, Gap, or Verify.
Is my contract uploaded or saved?
No. The checker runs entirely in your web browser. The contract text and your answers are never uploaded, saved, or sent to us. If you choose Get Compliant Quotes, the requirements are passed to our application on your device so you don’t have to re-enter them. If you ask a broker to review your results, a summary of the requirements and your coverage status, and your PDF report, are sent with your contact details through our secure form; the contract text itself is not included.
Does the checker tell me whether I’m compliant?
It gives you a clear starting point based on the contract text and your answers. Contract wording varies, and compliance depends on your actual policy language and endorsements, so confirm the requirements with the contracting party and have your broker review your policy. It is not legal advice.
What if the checker misses a requirement?
After it reads the contract, you can review and edit every requirement before comparing your coverage. You can also skip the paste step and enter the requirements manually.
What if my coverage doesn’t meet the contract?
Choose Get Compliant Quotes. The contract’s limits and terms carry into our cyber insurance application, and our brokers seek coverage that meets them, including excess layers and the endorsements the contract requires.
Have a contract deadline coming up?
Send us the contract and your current policy. We’ll tell you exactly what it takes to comply, and get it in place.
